Digitale toegankelijkheid bij Eteck
In opdracht van Eteck B.V.
Eteck levert warmte aan bewoners en bedrijven. Wie zijn maandbedrag wil wijzigen of een storing wil melden, doet dat op de website of in de app. Dat moet ook lukken met een schermlezer, met alleen een toetsenbord, of met sterk vergrote tekst. De European Accessibility Act, die sinds 28 juni 2025 geldt, vraagt van bedrijven dat hun digitale diensten toegankelijk zijn.
Eteck is daar in het voorjaar van 2025 mee begonnen. Vier digitale kanalen zijn onderzocht, de bevindingen zijn over meerdere releases opgelost, en in 2026 zijn drie van die kanalen opnieuw getoetst. Bij die hercontroles is elke bevinding uit 2025 opnieuw bekeken. Proper Access voerde de onderzoeken uit.
Wat er in dat jaar is gebeurd

- 237bevindingen in de nulmeting van 2025, elk met een oplossing erbij
- 6rapporten tussen juni 2025 en augustus 2026, waarvan 2 hercontroles
- 14maanden tussen de eerste meting en de laatste hercontrole
Alle onderzoeken zijn uitgevoerd volgens WCAG-EM, de evaluatiemethode van het W3C, en handmatig getoetst met schermlezer, toetsenbord en zoom. De apps zijn getest op echte toestellen, met VoiceOver op iOS en TalkBack op Android.

Mijn Eteck viel in 2025 binnen de scope van het website-onderzoek en is toen in een aanvullend onderzoek getoetst.
Waar dit certificaat over gaat
Toegankelijk worden gaat in stappen. Eerst weten waar je staat, dan oplossen, dan opnieuw meten, en daarna bijhouden wat er nieuw op de site of in de app komt. Eteck heeft het werk gedaan, Proper Access heeft gemeten.
Dit certificaat legt die stappen vast: welke onderzoeken zijn uitgevoerd, wanneer, tegen welke norm en volgens welke methode. Wat er per kanaal is getoetst en wat er openstond op de datum van elk rapport, staat in de rapporten waarnaar deze pagina linkt.
Eteck werkt de laatste punten zelf af. Toetsen in eigen beheer mag: er is geen regel die voorschrijft dat een externe partij de volgende controle doet.

Digital accessibility at Eteck

Eteck supplies heat to residents and businesses. Customers who want to change their monthly payment or report a fault do so on the website or in the app. That has to work with a screen reader, with the keyboard alone, or with heavily enlarged text. The European Accessibility Act, in force since 28 June 2025, requires companies to make their digital services accessible.
Eteck started on this in the spring of 2025. Four digital channels were audited, the findings were resolved across several releases, and in 2026 three of those channels were tested again. In those retests, every finding from 2025 was looked at again. Proper Access carried out the audits.
What happened over that year

All audits followed WCAG-EM, the evaluation methodology of the W3C, and were carried out by hand with a screen reader, the keyboard and zoom. The apps were tested on real devices, with VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android.

In 2025 Mijn Eteck fell within the scope of the website audit and was tested in a supplementary audit at that time.
What this certificate covers
Becoming accessible happens in steps. First you find out where you stand, then you fix, then you measure again, and after that you keep track of whatever new goes onto the site or into the app. Eteck did the work, Proper Access did the measuring.
This certificate records those steps: which audits were carried out, when, against which standard and using which methodology. What was tested per channel, and what was open on the date of each report, is set out in the reports this page links to.
Eteck is finishing the remaining points itself. Testing in-house is permitted: no rule requires an external party to carry out the next check.
